Purchase orders

What is a purchase order?

A purchase order is a document that a buyer of goods provides to a seller of goods outlining the terms of the sale, as well as the terms and conditions of the business relationship between the parties. Purchase orders are usually form contracts and drafted by attorneys. Documents such as requests for bids, solicitations for bids and construction specifications are treated similarly to purchase orders.

Do you need an attorney to help review a purchase order?

If you are negotiating or drafting a purchase order or sales contract, a commercial law attorney will help guide you through the complicated legal process so that you will be able to protect your legal rights.

Further, in the event that your purchase order has been breached, an attorney can help you get the remedy you deserve and/or help you protect yourself and your business in the future.
